 Who are we?

Shaver Lake Volunteers are a group of local residents and frequent visitors to the Shaver Lake area who enjoy being outdoors and working to protect the outdoors.  The organization is sponsored by the Southern California Edison Co. and functions with the leadership of the Edison Forestry Team.  A Steering Committee oversees the concepts and scope of the group’s objectives and plans projects, while sub-committees work in specific areas.  Our focus is on community service, forest and wildlife education, and enhancement of outdoor recreation opportunities in the Shaver Lake area.

What do we do?

“Adopt-A-Cove” groups clean and maintain the beaches around the lake; “Adopt-A-Trail” groups construct, identify and maintain hiking and cross-country ski trails; others assist with wildlife management projects and with conservation education for  schools and the general public.

Why do we do it?

Our logo says it all, its  .  .  .  "Good For The Land And The Soul”
